Crafting the Floral Fox – Simple, Elegant, and Full of Charm

This book is a special one for me. From the very first fold, I knew it was going to turn out beautifully — and it absolutely did. It may have been one of the quicker and simpler books I’ve made, but sometimes simplicity lets the design truly shine.

About the Design

The design features a peaceful fox sitting gracefully within a delicate floral ring. There’s something so calm and elegant about the composition — the fox’s closed eyes, the soft curve of the leaves and flowers — everything comes together in perfect harmony.

This is an inverted (debossed) cut and fold design, with the black background created using cardstock to bring out the fine detail and contrast in the fox’s shape.

The Making Process

Every so often, a design comes along that just flows — and this was one of those. There were no tricky folds, no frustrating misprints, no surprises — just a relaxing, enjoyable project from start to finish.

I absolutely love how it turned out. The detail in the flowers and the softness of the fox’s expression make it such a charming piece, and one I’m genuinely proud of.
