For this build, I decided to switch things up and pay homage to the original games with a retro pixel-art design. The first Pokémon evolution family is officially complete! To capture the bulk of #003 Venusaur, I needed a hefty 650-page book. But being such a “wide boy” brought its own problems, and annoying print margins nearly made me abandon this specific book entirely! Over in my Facebook group, January’s theme was “Mushrooms.” I decided to join in the fun and was captivated by a whimsical design showing fungi encapsulated within a lightbulb.
