Embracing Spooky Season: A Pair of Cute Ghost Book Folds

With spooky season fast approaching, I wanted to share a fun, festive make to get into the autumn spirit. I am so excited to introduce this adorable set of two book folds featuring a pair of cute ghosts!
Meeting the Ghosts
Halloween crafting is always an absolute joy, but I wanted something that leaned more towards adorable than terrifying. These two ghost patterns are wonderfully simple designs, making them a really cute project for Halloween to get your shelves ready for the end of October.
One pattern features a sweet, happy ghost wearing a little bow and surrounded by fluttering bats, while the other is dressed up for the season in a classic witch’s hat and riding a broomstick! Because they are a matching pair, they look absolutely fantastic displayed together as a little ghostly duo.
The Build: Crisp and High Contrast
For both of these spirited little books, I used a standard cut and fold technique.
To really make the shapes of the ghosts stand out, I used black card stock inserted directly into the folds. The stark contrast of the black card against the white pages creates a wonderfully crisp image. It makes these spooky little characters, the sweeping broomstick, and those tiny bats pop right off the shelf without overcomplicating the build.
A Perfect Halloween Project
Because these patterns are relatively straightforward and lack the complex, intricate tabs of some of my more detailed animal builds, they make for a really relaxing craft session. There were absolutely no obstacles with these ones! They are an absolute treat to fold and come together so smoothly.
I am so thrilled with how this pair turned out, and I can’t wait to put them out on display for the season.
