The first Pokémon evolution family is officially complete! To capture the bulk of #003 Venusaur, I needed a hefty 650-page book. But being such a “wide boy” brought its own problems, and annoying print margins nearly made me abandon this specific book entirely! Over in my Facebook group, January’s theme was “Mushrooms.” I decided to join in the fun and was captivated by a whimsical design showing fungi encapsulated within a lightbulb. It was the perfect quick project using a cut and fold technique alongside a 180 fold for a really neat finish. Pop in to see how this magical little design turned out!

When Marc asked for a handmade Secret Santa gift for a fellow Pokémon Professor with an “Eeveelutions” theme, I knew I had a challenge on my hands! I decided to turn a detailed image into an intricate book fold. It required weeks of patient folding and a lot of careful colouring to finally bring all those different characters to life, but I am so happy with how this colourful project turned out.
